Whangateau Camping Ground Amenities

Set within a relaxed coastal campground, this project required a design that felt consistent with the surrounding buildings, while still delivering the durability and low maintenance benefits of precast construction.

We delivered two public toilets with integrated, pay-to-use hot water showers, providing a functional upgrade for campers and visitors. The facility was designed to blend seamlessly with the existing site, both in form and finish.

To achieve this, the precast concrete walls were cast with a weatherboard pattern, echoing the look of traditional timber structures while maintaining the strength and longevity of concrete.

The combination of robust construction and considered design ensures the facility can handle seasonal demand, while remaining easy to maintain in a coastal environment.

The result is a practical, well-integrated amenities block that enhances the campground experience without disrupting its character.
